JON’S GAL PAL IS YOUNGER, WILDER

Apparently Jon Gosselin’s divorce comes with a settlement package of a 22-year-old girlfriend, a trip to Saint-Tropez and an unlimited Ed Hardy wardrobe – all within one month of filing.
And he appears to have a taste for younger women, first with 23-year-old school teacher Deanna Hummel and now with 22-year-old Hailey Glassman, registered party animal. You may be wondering how he met Glassman. Easy: she is the daughter of Kate’s surgeon who performed her tummy tuck surgery back in 2006.
Although Kate has been mum on the subject, reason dictates that it must hurt to hear about Jon’s rebound with a younger woman after only 20 days. While Kate no longer has any control over the way Jon lives his life, she has to be concerned about how this will affect their eight children now and further down the road. Once the kids become Internet-savvy, all they have to do is type “Gosselin” into Google to learn about their father’s recent escapades.
On the other hand, some speculate that Kate may be happy about the tabloid mess Jon has created for himself. The media is giving Kate a much-needed break from scrutiny in order to turn the spotlight even brighter on Jon. Plus, her previous claims that Jon was the more immature one in their relationship seem that much more valid with Jon dating a string of recent college grads.
Jon’s choice of female companion does leave something to be desired. Many of Hailey Glassman’s friends have described her as a devoted partier, with recent pictures of her on Facebook confirming these descriptions.
One shot in particular shows Glassman after she fell head-first onto a potted plant and couldn’t get up – presumably after a long night of drinking. A police mug shot of Glassman also surfaced from a 2005 arrest for marijuana possession while she was an undergrad at Indiana University in Bloomington.
A woman named Joy Lawlor came forward claiming to be Glassman’s ex-girlfriend. She stated that she and Glassman dated for three years while attending Indiana University. Lawlor said the relationship eventually ended because Glassman’s constant partying was too much for her to handle.
In an interview with RadarOnline.com, Lawlor warns Jon about his relationship with Glassman. “You are wasting your time with Hailey. She’ll destroy you,” she said. “The last thing Jon needs to do is stick around with that woman. She will use him to make herself famous and then…leave him for someone else she can profit from.”
What Lawlor didn’t take into consideration is that Jon may be using Glassman just as much as she’s using him. Glassman appears to be an answer to Jon’s premature mid-life crisis all while getting in her 15 minutes of fame.
And it seems that neither Jon nor Glassman will be leaving the headlines anytime soon. Rumors are swirling that he is in talks to create a fashion line with famous designer Christian Audigier. Many of these rumors also claim he will be working side-by-side with Glassman while creating the line, potentially extending her 15 minutes of fame into 30 or more.
But perhaps we should be more concerned about the fame going to Jon’s head and not Glassman’s. Kate’s claims that Jon’s behavior prompted their divorce no longer seem farfetched. Though it takes two to make a marriage, it’s beginning to look like Jon may be to blame for much of the drama surrounding the show and the Gosselins’ personal life.
Beyond Jon, Kate and their plus eight, my main concern is for Ms. Glassman. Considering Jon’s recent track record, it is simply a matter of time before a newer and younger version of Glassman pries her way into Jon’s growing chain of scandalous quickie relationships.
Hailey Glassman – I wouldn’t subscribe to any bridal magazines just yet if I were you.
