A man allegedly burglarized several homes in apartment/condominium complexes in Berks County within the last month, and a reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest, authorities said.
The suspect knocks on the front door of the apartments to see if anyone is home, and then forces his way through the door, authorities said.
Incidents in Wyomissing have taken place at Cambridge Commons on Sept. 21 and Valley Green Circle on Aug. 21, authorities said. None of the residents were home at the time of the burglaries, which occurred during the day, authorities said. The suspect forced his way into the homes through the front door, authorities said.
Other local police departments also are investigating burglaries.
A suspect has been described as a Hispanic man, 25 to 30, about 5 feet 11 inches, 200 to 215 pounds, and wearing glasses and a black “skull cap,” authorities said.
Anyone with information on these burglaries or who notices any suspicious activity is asked to contact Wyomissing police at 610-375-6101 or by dialing 9-1-1.
Crime Alert Berks County is offering rewards of up to $5,000 to people who provide information leading to arrests. People can call The Crime Tip Line at 1-877-373-9913, toll free, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
