VEHICLE STRIKES COW

A vehicle struck a cow that was in the road in Bethel Township, Berks County, on Oct. 17, township police said.
A vehicle driven by David Reiff, 47, of Fredericksburg, Va., struck a large Holstein cow that walked onto the eastbound lane of Old 22 near Merkey Drive, police said.
Reiff suffered minor injuries, and he was taken via The Bethel Ambulance to Reading Hospital.
The cow was injured, and it was reclaimed by its farm.
Rehrersburg Rescue and Bethel Fire assisted.

Vehicle hits large rocks
A vehicle driven by Lydia Remlinger, 19, of Lebanon, went out of control on a turn and struck large rocks at Lincoln Avenue and Monticello Drive in South Lebanon Township on Oct. 17, township police said.

Wet leaves cause accident
A vehicle driven by Carl Spece, 49, of Schuylkill Haven, went out of control traveling on wet leaves, traveled into a ditch, turned onto the passenger side and came to rest in the ditch on Browns Church Road at Route 895 in Washington Township, Schuylkill County, on Oct. 17, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
Summit Station Fire Department, Hook Hose and Ladder from Pine Grove, and Fire Police assisted.

Foggy windows lead to accident
A vehicle driven by Ashley Noecker, 21, of Auburn, went out of control on a wet surface and struck a guardrail on Route 183 in Wayne Township on Oct. 17, after the windows on Noecker’s vehicle fogged up, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
Summit Station Fire/EMS assisted.

Dorks damage two mailboxes
Goons used a blunt object to knock a mailbox off a post and smash another mailbox on East Mountain Road in Hubley Township on Oct. 16 or Oct. 17, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The victims are Yvonne Stiely and Bernadette Goodman.

Slugs swipe license plate
Losers swiped a license plate from a vehicle on East Penn Street in Lenhartsville between Oct. 4 and Oct. 13, state police at Hamburg said.
The license plate is Pennsylvania registration YWC5479.
The victims are Ward Swan, 74, and Ann Swan, 63.

Wet road sparks accident
Three vehicles were in an accident in Annville on Oct. 15 because of the wet road, township police said.
Vehicles driven by a 17-year-old girl, of Cleona, a 16-year-old boy, of Cleona, and Trisha Dougherty, 40, of Annville, were in an accident at Route 934 and High Street, police said.

Woman charged with false reports
A woman was charged with false reports for an alleged incident with her boyfriend, township police said.
The suspect is Stacy Hetrick, 34, of Palmyra.

Vehicle slams into parked car
A vehicle driven by Larcharicia Phillips, 22, of Dallas, Texas, struck a parked car on West Main Street in Annville on Oct. 6, township police said.

Man charged with terroristic threats
William Knoche, 40, of New Kingston, was charged with terroristic threats for an alleged incident in the area of Allwein Carpet One in Annville on Sept. 22, township police said.

OFFICIALS: BOY, 11, BITES POLICE OFFICER

An 11-year-old boy allegedly caused a disturbance and bit a police officer at Philhaven Hospital in West Cornwall Township on Aug. 9, Cornwall police said.
The 11-year-old boy, of Reading, who was a patient at the hospital on South Butler Road, allegedly caused a disturbance in the facility, threw items at staff and Cornwall Patrolman James Conklin, and bit Conklin on the left arm and a male staff member on the arm, police said.
Conklin suffered an injury, and he was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital.
The boy was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct. Charges were filed with the Lebanon County Juvenile Probation Department.

Police: Man violated protection from abuse order
Jeremy Vanbeverdoudt, 19, of Glenmore, was charged with violating a protection from abuse order for allegedly calling his former girlfriend, Kathryn Haas, in Cornwall on Oct. 3, borough police said.

Officials find lost hunter
Police, fire, EMS and state Game Commission officials found a hunter who was lost in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, recently, township police said.
The hunter, Dustin Peiffer, 25, of Middletown, called Lebanon EMA on his cellphone when he became disoriented while hunting along Michter’s Road, police said.
Police, fire and EMS personnel from Heidelberg Township and Cornwall, and state Game Commission officials spent about an hour looking for Peiffer before he managed to come out of the woods on his own, police said.
Ryan Gabner, 25, of Palmyra, had been with Peiffer, but not when Peiffer became disoriented, police said.

Injured dog runs away from vehicle accident
A dog ran away after the vehicle in which it was riding was in an accident in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, recently, township police said.
Vehicles driven by Frank Difava, 77, of Lebanon, and Bobbie Sue Landis, 20, of Lancaster, were in an accident at Route 419 and Distillery Road, police said.
A black, 2-year-old medium size Catahula dog, which was wearing a yellow collar, was thrown from an open rear side window of Landis’ vehicle, police said.
The dog suffered a gash on its side, ran off, and has not been found, police said. He was last seen running across Route 419 northeast toward Flintville, directly behind Keller Brothers Ford.
If anyone should find the dog, they are asked to contact the police at 717-949-3885, and the owner will be notified.

Motorcycle lays on side in accident
A motorcycle ridden by Terry and Lorie Reinert, of Lake Wynona, laid on its side in front of Keller Brothers Ford in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, recently, as they avoided a collision with a vehicle ahead of them, township police said.

Five males throw liquor bottles
About five young males in a vehicle threw several empty bottles of Old English Malt Liquor along the road and tried to vandalize a mailbox on Michter’s Road in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, on Oct. 11, township police said.
The suspect vehicle is described as a light-colored, possibly gold, Volkswagen, with a possible partial registration of HBT-45, police said.

ACCIDENT KILLS MOTORCYCLIST

A motorcyclist died in an accident in Caernarvon Township, Lancaster County, on Oct. 10, state police at Ephrata said.
A motorcycle driven by Gary Raser III, of Mohnton, struck a vehicle that was parked off Hammertown Road near Churchtown Road, state police said.
Raser died from injuries that he suffered in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Lancaster County Coroner Tina McKain.

Troopers: Boys tried to take knives, flashlights
Three boys allegedly tried to steal items, including knives and flashlights, from Cabela’s in Tilden Township on Oct. 10, state police at Hamburg said.
The suspects, who all are 17 and from Northampton County, were caught on surveillance, state police said.
The suspects were arrested with theft.

Troopers: Counterfeit bill found
A man attempted to exchange a counterfeit $10 bill at the cashier’s cage at Hollywood Casino at Penn National in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, on Oct. 10, state police Gaming Enforcement Office said.
State police said the man was not aware that the bill was counterfeit.

Vehicle strikes corn stalks
A vehicle driven by Gregory Boltz, 20, of Jonestown, went out of control on a curve, traveled into a cornfield, struck several corn stalks and a utility pole, and came to rest in a field on Killinger Road near Route 422 in South Annville Township on Oct. 10, state police at Jonestown said.

Vehicle ends up on roof
A vehicle driven by Shameka Moody, 28, of Lebanon, traveled along an embankment, overturned, and came to rest on its roof on Route 343 near Golf Road in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, on Oct. 10, after Moody fell asleep, state police at Jonestown said.
Moody suffered minor injuries.

Jerks steal collectible coins
Goons stole collectible coins after entering a home on Monroe Valley Drive in Swatara Township between Sept. 14 and Sept. 17, state police at Jonestown said.
The victim is Dustin Getz.

Woman cited with disorderly conduct
Ashley Martin, 25, of Jonestown, was cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly urinating in a private driveway on Tile Street near Center Street in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, on Oct. 10, state police at Jonestown said.

Troopers: Man, woman fight
A man and a woman allegedly physically fought with each other in an apartment on Heilmandale Road in North Annville Township on Oct. 10, state police at Jonestown said.
Stephanie Felty, 19, allegedly slapped Bruce Schell, 22, and Schell allegedly pushed Felty against a wall, state police said.
Felty and Schell were charged with harassment.

Troopers: Man gave alcohol to girl
A man allegedly gave alcohol to a 17-year-old girl at an alleged underage drinking party on East Grande Avenue in Tower City on Oct. 11, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The suspect is Derrick Warfel, 21.

Man thrown from motorcycle
A man was thrown from his motorcycle in an accident in West Brunswick Township on Oct. 11, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
A motorcycle driven by Arlen Martin, 45, of Blandon, went out of control on a bend and onto its left side on Hawk Mountain Road near Route 895, state police said.
Martin was thrown from the motorcycle, state police said. The motorcycle came to rest in a ditch next to a tree, state police said.
Martin was injured, and he was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
State police said Martin was wearing a helmet with eye protection.

Vehicles collide in W. Hanover
Vehicles driven by David Platt, 17, of Grantville, and Lon Brankovich, 49, of Hershey, were in an accident on Route 39 at Jonestown Road in West Hanover Township on Oct. 9, state police at Harrisburg said.

Bozos attempt to enter business
Goons attempted to enter Deer Lake Beverage on Route 61 near Brick Hill Road in West Brunswick Township between Sept. 26 and Oct. 11 by prying open the rear doors, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
State police said video footage from security cameras is being analyzed.

Vehicle sideswipes small tree
A vehicle driven by Matthew Dietrich, 17, of Pine Grove, went out of control on a curve, struck a mailbox and sideswiped a small tree on Route 125 in Pine Grove on Oct. 12, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.

TROOPERS: MAN ASSAULTED WOMAN

A man allegedly assaulted a woman during a domestic disturbance and was found to have marijuana at a home in South Annville Township on Oct. 10, state police at Jonestown said.
The suspect, Kyle Wamsher, 27, of Lebanon, allegedly flipped a mattress and box spring on top of a 23-year-old woman, of Lebanon, and threw her into the box spring, causing a bruise to her leg, at a home on Horseshoe Pike, state police said.
State police said Wamsher allegedly was found in a bedroom with a small amount of marijuana and a smoking pipe on top of a dresser.
Wamsher was charged with simple assault, harassment, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Accident injures Fredericksburg man
A vehicle driven by Charles Deibler III, 48, of Fredericksburg, went out of control on a turn in an accident at North Lancaster Street and Mowery Road in Swatara Township on Oct. 11, state police at Jonestown said.
Deibler was injured.
State police said Deibler left the scene.

Police: Man struck woman in face
A man allegedly struck a woman in the face during a domestic incident in the parking lot of Highland Glen in North Cornwall Township on Oct. 12, township police said.
The suspect, Jerry Santana, 28, of Lebanon, was cited with harassment.
The victim was Marlene Correa, 28, of Lebanon, police said.

Police: Driver distracted by cellphone
Vehicles driven by Tonya Gettle, 26, of Lebanon, and Filomena Lambakis, 45, of Lebanon, were in an accident at 16th and Cumberland streets in North Cornwall Township on Oct. 8, township police said.
Police said Gettle was distracted by her cellphone.

Vehicle hits bridge overpass
A vehicle driven by Xinghe Li, 35, of Harrisburg, struck a bridge overpass on Blue Mountain Road, rode along the bridge rail and guardrail, went back on all four wheels, and struck the guardrail again on I-78 in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, on Oct. 12, state police at Jonestown said.
Li was cited with driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Local fire police assisted.

Creeps on ATVs damage crops
Goons riding all-terrain vehicles damaged crops, a yard, and a fence at three different locations in Upper Tulpehocken Township on Oct. 3, state police at Hamburg said.
The locations were on Route 183, Spring Road and Henne Road, state police said.

Woman cleared in harassment investigation
Troopers have cleared a woman in a harassment investigation, state police at Jonestown said.
No evidence exists to support allegations that Lisa Marko, 42, allegedly harassed Robert Marko, 41, at a location on Route 72 in Swatara Township on Sept. 21, state police said.
State police said Robert Marko had no proof that Lisa Marko harassed him.
No harassment charges are pending against Lisa Marko, state police said.

The victim is Michele Hostetter, 39.

Vehicle barrels into boulder, shrubbery
A vehicle driven by Jenna Hayes, 22, of Orwigsburg, went out of control on a wet surface on a curve, and struck a boulder and shrubbery on Route 662 near Skyline Drive in Perry Township on Oct. 9, state police at Hamburg said.
Hayes suffered a moderate injury, and she was taken by Hamburg Ambulance 545-2 to Schuylkill Medical East.

MAN FACES GUN CHARGES

A man faces gun charges after police investigated an alleged domestic dispute at his home in Lebanon City on Oct. 7, city police said.
Officers went to the home of Efrain Roman-Cabrera, 41, on Lehman Street on reports of a domestic dispute, and determined that Roman-Cabrera allegedly was buying guns off the street, breaking them down, and shipping them to the Dominican Republic, police said.
A search of the apartment allegedly yielded a .22 caliber handgun that had been reported stolen from a home in Lebanon in November 2004, a sawed off shotgun, and components to three disassembled shotguns, some of which were concealed inside electronic equipment, police said.
Roman-Cabrera was charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly possessing the stolen handgun. He was placed in Lebanon County prison, with bail set at $25,000.

3 vehicles crack up in Annville
Vehicles driven by Kashmeir Griffith, 24, of Annville, Lisa Geist, 38, of Cleona, and Zachary Tanner, 51, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., were in an accident on East Main Street in Annville on Oct. 7, township police said.
Geist suffered neck pain, and she was taken to the hospital.

Vehicle hits guardrail on Rt. 72
A vehicle driven by Robert Zimmerman, 85, of Cleona, struck a guardrail on Route 72 near Huckleberry Road in Union Township, Lebanon County, on Oct. 8, state police at Jonestown said.
Fay Zimmerman, 83, who was a passenger, suffered a minor injury.

Goons scratched a vehicle on Swatara Creek Drive in Jonestown on Oct. 7 or Oct. 8, state police at Jonestown said.
The victim is Shannon Geesaman.

A vehicle driven by Brian McCurdy, 56, of Annville, struck multiple trees on Syner Road in East Hanover Township on Oct. 8, state police at Jonestown said.

Animal causes crash
A vehicle driven by Jehida Heisey, 16, of Myerstown, struck a utility pole on Elco Drive near Weavertown Road in Jackson Township on Oct. 7, after Heisey swerved to avoid an animal in the road, state police at Jonestown said.
Heisey and Heather Kahl, 17, who was a passenger, suffered minor injuries, and they were taken by First Aid and Safety to Good Samaritan Hospital.

Big rig strikes post on porch
A tractor-trailer struck a post on a porch in Perry Township on Oct. 8, state police at Hamburg said.
A tractor-trailer driven by Richard Ross Jr., 56, of Macomb, Mich., struck a stop sign on top of a concrete foundation and the wooden post of a front porch on Route 143 (Ontelaunee Trail), and kept going, state police said.
A witness followed Ross’ vehicle, and Ross was taken into custody at routes 222 and 662, state police said.
The porch is on a home owned by Elaine Miller.
Ross was charged with accidents involving attended vehicle or property. He was arraigned and placed in Berks County prison, with bail set at $25,000.
PennDOT and Fleetwood police assisted.

Vehicle strikes deer
A vehicle driven by Holly Huber, 25, of Jonestown, struck one of two deer that ran into the road on Route 72 near Horst Drive in Swatara Township on Oct. 8, state police at Jonestown said.

State police investigate 570 incidents in Sept.
State police at Schuylkill Haven investigated 570 incidents in September.
Troopers there handled 165 reported criminal offenses, of which 162 were founded. They cleared 93 criminal offenses and made 90 criminal arrests.
The troopers investigated 55 accidents, three of which were hit and run and one of which was DUI related. In the accidents, 17 people were injured. Troopers made nine DUI arrests, and issued 358 traffic citations and 181 warnings.

Dorks damage soda machines
Losers used a pry bar type object to damage the doors to a Coca-Cola vending machine and a 7-Up vending machine at C&C Candies on Long Run Road in Wayne Township on Oct. 8 or Oct. 9, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The victims are Coca Cola Inc., of Pottsville, and Davis Beverage Group, of Bethlehem.

PUNKS PILFER ITEMS FROM VEHICLES

Goons stole items from a vehicle on Walnut Manor Way in Jonestown on Oct. 3 or Oct. 4, state police at Jonestown said.
The stolen items are a speaker box containing two 10-inch Kicker subwoofers, and a Garmin GPS.
The victim is Brian Kreiser Jr., 22.

Dorks swipe silver serving dish
Goons swiped a silver serving dish from a display cabinet after entering a home via a first floor window on Log Cabin Drive in East Hanover Township on Sept. 30, state police at Jonestown said.
The victim is Robert Damiano, 39.

Troopers: Man takes misplaced $$$
A man allegedly took $40 that a woman accidentally dropped on the casino floor of Hollywood Casino at Penn National in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, on Oct. 1, state police Gaming Enforcement Office said.
The suspect is Kyle Reigle, 22, of Palmyra.
The victim is Nancy Koppenhaver, 62, of Hummelstown, state police said.

Jerks steal riding mower
Goons swiped a riding mower from behind a home on West Main Street in Fredericksburg between Sept. 25 and Oct. 1, state police at Jonestown said.
The keys were left in the mower, state police said.
The mower is described as an older red Snapper riding mower worth $100.

Troopers: Man tries to take items from store
A man allegedly attempted to take items worth $351.93 from Cabela’s in Tilden Township on Oct. 1, state police at Hamburg said.
The suspect, Dennis Gaskill, 51, of Little Egg Harbor, N.J., allegedly tried to take items that included ammunition, a shot glass, and a T-shirt, state police said.
Gaskill was detained by Cabela’s Asset Protection members.

State police stop 88 motorists
State police at Jonestown stopped about 88 motorists, made two DUI arrests, and issued one child seat citation, 16 speeding citations, six other citations and 44 warning notices during a DUI enforcement Checkpoint and Roving Detail in Lebanon County on Sept. 25 and Sept. 26.
The checkpoint was on Route 72 near Horst Road in Swatara Township, and the patrols were conducted on various state highways.

Fools swipe farm tools
Goons swiped farm tools from locations Bricker Lane and Reist Road in North Cornwall Township between Sept. 8 and Sept. 29, township police said.
The missing farm tools are a generator, a chainsaw, and two grinders. They are worth $1,570 total.
The victim is Jesse Copenhaver, 74.

Troopers: Man touches woman’s thigh
A man allegedly swept his right hand across the left thigh of a woman and then later tried to talk to her at Hollywood Casino at Penn National in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, on Oct. 3, state police Gaming Enforcement Office said.
The suspect, Jack Wenrich, 51, of Harrisburg, was cited with harassment.
The victim is a 65-year-old woman, of Harrisburg, state police said.

Woman charged with public drunkenness
Tammy Swartswelder, of Jonestown, was charged with public drunkenness after she allegedly was found passed out in a vehicle at the boat ramp at Swatara Creek on West Market Street in Jonestown on Oct. 3, state police at Jonestown said.

Accident sends 2 to hosp
Vehicles driven by Susan Emerich, 40, of Lebanon, and Richard Walmer, 44, of Lebanon, were in an accident on Route 897 at Prescott Road in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, on Oct. 3, township police said.
Emerich and Walmer were taken by Schaefferstown and Myerstown ambulances to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Schaefferstown and Myerstown fire police assisted with traffic control.

Vehicle strikes home
A vehicle driven by Ahmed Elaabar, 40, of Schuylkill Haven, struck a home on Shirksville Road at Mount Zion Road in Bethel Township, Lebanon County, on Oct. 3, during foggy conditions, state police at Jonestown said.

Vehicle barrels into guardrail
A vehicle driven by Tara Buss, 21, of Kempton, went out of control on a curve and struck a guardrail on Route 737 near Sutter Road in Greenwich Township on Oct. 3, state police at Hamburg said.
Buss suffered a minor injury, and she was transported by Kutztown EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

POLICE: MAN BREAKS INTO VEHICLES

A man allegedly broke into multiple vehicles in the Port Carbon area on Oct. 6, and he was apprehended, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
Troopers received reports of a male trying to break into vehicles, and Kevin Kintzel, 21, of Port Carbon, was found in the area of Market and Fifth streets.
Kintzel allegedly has possession of a Sanyo digital camera, U.S. currency, cologne, a Nintendo DS and other items, state police said. More than $700 in property was recovered, state police said.
State police said Kintzel targeted the vehicles of numerous victims, but not all victims are known at this time.
Kintzel was charged with receiving stolen property, theft, loitering and prowling at nighttime, and public drunkenness.

Passenger injured in accident
Vehicles driven by Terry Derr, 55, of Hamburg, and James Lopez, 69, of Auburn, were in an accident on Route 61 at Lowland Road in Tilden Township on Oct. 5, state police at Hamburg said.
Ellen Lopez, 68, who was a passenger in Lopez’s vehicle, was injured, and she was transported by Hamburg EMS to Good Samaritan Hospital.
Hamburg EMS, Union Fire Co. #1 of Hamburg, and Port Clinton Fire Co. assisted.

A vehicle driven by Lawrence Dowhower, 56, of Myerstown, struck a deer in the road on Route 422 near Clear Spring Road in North Annville Township on Oct. 4, state police at Jonestown said.

Troopers: Man shoves, chokes woman
A man allegedly shoved and choked a woman at a location on Main Street in East Hanover Township on Oct. 4, state police at Jonestown said.
The suspect is Dean Meyerhoeffer.
The victim is a 31-year-old woman, state police said.

Troopers: Man has inappropriate contact with girl
A man allegedly had inappropriate contact with a girl on Ridge Road in North Londonderry Township between Nov. 15, 2008, and Jan. 7, 2009, state police at Jonestown said.
The suspect, Adam Weatherholtz, 19, of Lebanon, was charged with aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors.
The victim is a 13-year-old girl, of Palmyra, state police said.

Troopers: Juvenile steals pack of Combos

Goons swiped two boxes of LP albums from a moving truck at the Plaza Apartments in North Cornwall Township on Aug. 29, township police said.
The victim is Dennis Hoke, 53, who was moving away from the Plaza Apartments. The albums are worth $1,000.

Travel clothing bag found on road
North Cornwall Township police found a black “White House/Black Market” travel clothing bag on West Oak Street in the area of the Lebanon County Country Club in North Cornwall Township on Oct. 4.

A woman allegedly tried to take $66.40 worth of clothing from Kohl’s on Quentin Road in North Cornwall Township on Oct. 3, township police said.
The suspect, Tatiana Rodriguez, 19, of Lebanon, was charged with theft.

Police: Woman took clothes, sneakers
A woman allegedly took clothes worth $58 from Kohl’s and a pair of sneakers worth $40 from Famous Footwear on Quentin Road in North Cornwall Township on Oct. 3, township police said.
The suspect, Sarrina Smith, 18, of Newmanstown, was charged with theft.

Losers swipe compound bow from truck
Losers swiped a camouflage colored compound bow from a truck parked at a home on Walnut Street in North Cornwall Township on Oct. 5, township police said.
The victim is Chad Wike. Total loss is $700.

Police: Woman stole clothing from store
A woman allegedly took clothing worth $191.43 from TJ Maxx on Quentin Road in North Cornwall Township on Oct. 1, township police said.
The suspect, Barbara Montalvo, 21, of New York, N.Y., was charged with theft. She was arraigned, with bail set at $5,000.

Troopers: Woman took misplaced wallet
A woman allegedly stole a wallet that had accidentally fallen onto the floor at Hollywood Casino at Penn National in East Hanover Township, Dauphin County, on Oct. 5, state police Gaming Enforcement Office said.
The suspect, Joann Vinyard, 64, of Laurel, Md., was charged with theft.
The victim is Jerome Szegedy, 68, of Harrisburg, state police said.

Goons went on a vandalism spree in Schuylkill County recently, throwing objects that shattered windows on homes and vandalizing property, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
Three incidents occurred in Hegins Township on Oct. 4, state police said. The goons threw a mailbox that shattered a double pane living room window on the front of a home on West Mountain Road, state police said. The victim is William Wagner, 77.
Also on West Mountain Road, the goons threw a mailbox that shattered several double pane windows, state police said. The victim is Ruth Miller, 89.
On Creek Road, the goons threw pumpkins that shattered a double pane bedroom window, state police said. The victim is James Buffington, 60.
Two incidents occurred on Ridge Road in Upper Mahantongo Township on Oct. 3 or Oct. 4, state police said. The goons used beer bottles to break three windshields on parked vehicles belonging to Vince Wiest, state police said. The goons also used a blunt object to smash a large front window and window frame on a home, state police said. The victim is Diane Charles.
Two incidents occurred on Ridge Road in Eldred Township on Oct. 3 or Oct. 4, state police said. The goons used a blunt object to knock over a mailbox belonging to Jennifer Yourey, state police said. The goons also used a blunt object to remove a mailbox, and they knocked over a stone wall, state police said. The victim is William Ball.

State police plan sobriety checkpoints
State police at Jonestown will be participating in the Pennsylvania State Police Checkpoint Strikeforce II program in Lebanon County in October. This program uses sobriety checkpoints to attempt to reduce alcohol-related accidents.
Checkpoint sites are selected from data showing a high occurrence of alcohol-related incidents, including accidents, and alcohol-related arrests and contacts.
State police remind motorists that impairment begins with the first drink and driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol is a violation of law. State police said penalties for driving under the influence of alcohol can be severe, including imprisonment, a fine ranging from $300 to $10,000, and suspension of a motorist’s driving privileges.
State police said people who wish to drink alcohol should use a designated driver or call a cab.

Police: Boy struck by vehicle mirror
A boy walking along the side of the road was struck by the mirror of a vehicle in Pine Grove Township on Oct. 3, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
A vehicle driven by Norma Brown, 72, of Pine Grove, drifted onto the side of the road on Oak Grove Road because Brown was having trouble seeing from the glare of the sun, state police said.
The mirror on Brown’s vehicle struck the shoulder blade of a 10-year-old boy, of Pine Grove, who was walking along the side of the road with two other juveniles, state police said.
The boy suffered minor injuries. Brown drove him to his home, and his mother took him to Schuylkill Medical Center East for evaluation.

Vehicle strikes vacant home
A vehicle struck a vacant home in an accident in Porter Township on Oct. 2, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
Vehicles driven by Michael Haeseler, 20, of Landingville, and Sheila Leininger, 54, of Williamstown, were in an accident at Route 209 and Main Street, state police said.
After impact, Leininger’s vehicle struck a vacant home, state police said.

Driver injured in accident
Vehicles driven by a 17-year-old girl, of Schuylkill Haven, and Douglas Dean, of Schuylkill Haven, were in an accident on Route 813 at Randle Street in North Manheim Township on Oct. 4, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The girl suffered a minor injury, and she was taken by Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS to Schuylkill Medical Center East.
Schuylkill Haven Fire Department and Fire Police assisted.

Vehicle hits guardrail, tree
A vehicle driven by Jackelyn Bass, 17, of Tremont, struck a guardrail and a tree on Route 125 in Tremont Township on Oct. 2, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
Bass suffered a minor injury, and she was taken via Tremont EMS to Hershey Medical Center.
Good Samaritan EMS, North-end Pine Grove Fire, and Ravine Fire assisted.

Motorcycle strikes embankment
A motorcycle driven by Joann Hollywood, 51, of New Philadelphia, went out of control on a curve and struck an embankment on New Street near McGovern Street in Norwegian Township on Oct. 4, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The motorcycle fell onto Hollywood’s left ankle, state police said.
Hollywood suffered a major injury, and she was taken by Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
State police said Hollywood was wearing a helmet.
Mar-Lin Citizens Hose Co. and Seltzer Hose Co. assisted.

Slugs swipe items from home
Goons swiped items after entering a home on Maple Avenue in Pine Grove Township on Oct. 3, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The goons took a jewelry box from a bedroom, and an acoustic guitar, a speaker and a 12-track recorder from a room downstairs, state police said.
The victims are Paul Karenda, 35, and Tara Karenda, 39.

Vehicle slams into utility pole
A vehicle driven by Carisa Stevenosky, 40, of Pitman, struck a utility pole on Route 183 near Grove Street in Cressona on Oct. 4, after Stevenosky became distracted while using her cellphone, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
State police said Stevenosky left the scene.
Cressona Fire Police assisted.

Vehicles driven by Sarah Foreman, of Lebanon, and Phoung Nguyen, of Annville, were in an accident at routes 422 and 934 in Annville on Oct. 3, township police said.

Man cited with noise ordinance violation
Nicholas Faria, 22, was cited with violating the township noise ordinance for an alleged incident at his home on South King Street in Annville on Oct. 3, township police said.

Police: Teens charged in connection with car theft
Three teens were charged in connection with the theft of a car in Palmyra on Sept. 4, borough police said.
A 15-year-old juvenile, of the Elizabethtown area, was charged with theft.
A 15-year-old juvenile, of the Palmyra area, was charged with unauthorized use of automobiles.
A 16-year-old juvenile, of the Palmyra area, was charged with criminal conspiracy.
The victim is Dulcie Fulmer, 36.
The charges were filed with the Lebanon County Juvenile Probation Department.

POLICE: MAN HAD CHILD PORN

A man allegedly had 22 images and photographs of child pornography on his computers, Lititz police said.
The suspect, Gregory Nies, 53, of Lititz, allegedly posed as an 18-year-old woman, communicated online with several juveniles in the Lititz area, and enticed the juveniles into having inappropriate sexual conversations, police said.
Police searched Nies’ home and workplace, and seized computers and other items. Police said the search of the computers allegedly confirmed the conversations that Nies had with the juveniles and allegedly revealed that Nies had 22 child pornography images and photographs.
Nies was charged with possession of child pornography, unlawful contact with minors, and corruption of minors. He surrendered himself, and he was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
Nies is on $150,000 bail from charges of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor that were filed on May 27, police said.

Two juveniles thrown from ATV
Two juveniles were thrown from an all-terrain vehicle in an accident in North Manheim Township on Sept. 23, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
An ATV driven by a 14-year-old juvenile, of Pottsville, went out of control on a curve and struck a stone bridge abutment on Second Mountain Road at Garfield Avenue, state police said.
The 14-year-old juvenile and a 12-year-old juvenile, who was a passenger, were thrown from the ATV, state police said. They were injured, and they were transported to Schuylkill Medical Center South.
State police said neither the 14-year-old juvenile nor the 12-year-old juvenile was wearing riding helmets.
Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS assisted.

Goons keyed the entire passenger side of a vehicle in the Kings Village parking lot in Norwegian Township on Sept. 24, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The victim is Maryann Lapoint, 52.

Troopers: Man found with cocaine
Roger Brensinger, 38, of Pottsville, was charged with a drug violation and DUI after he allegedly was found in possession of a substantial amount of cocaine following an accident on Schuylkill Mountain Road in North Manheim Township on Sept. 15, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.

Vehicles collide at intersection
Vehicles driven by Steven Shotts, 54, of Illinois, and Larry Minney, 59, were in accident at routes 934 and 422 in Annville on Sept. 30, township police said.

Man arrested for disorderly conduct
Tyler Cisarik, 21, of Annville, was arrested for disorderly conduct for an alleged incident behind Johnson’s Bar on West Main Street in Annville on Sept. 19, township police said.

Troopers: Man tries to steal ATV
A man allegedly tried to steal an all-terrain vehicle in Norwegian Township on Oct. 2, and he subsequently was caught, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The suspect, Jeffrey Leinheiser, 18, of Pottsville, allegedly broke into the storage sheds of multiple victims on Ann Street in the East Mines Area, and in one of the sheds, tried to take an ATV by using an electric circular saw to cut a chain linking the vehicle to the wall, state police said.
The ATV’s owner, Bryan Gradwell, allegedly saw Leinheiser trying to take the ATV, and Leinheiser left, going into the woods, state police said.
Troopers caught Leinheiser at a home on Ann Street where he temporarily is living.
Leinheiser was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, attempted theft and criminal mischief. He was arraigned and placed in Schuylkill County prison, with bail set at $25,000.

Troopers: Girl tries to take items from Boscov’s
A 17-year-old girl allegedly tried to take items from Boscov’s Department Store in Fairlane Village Mall in Norwegian Township on Oct. 2, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The 17-year-old girl, of Pottsville, allegedly tried to take two purses, two hooded sweatshirts, two sweaters and one T-shirt worth $179.07, state police said.
Boscov’s Loss Prevention detectives apprehended the girl.

POLICE: FEMALE ROBS BANK

A woman robbed a bank in Palmyra on Oct. 2, and she is now suspected in four other bank robberies in August and September, borough police said.
The suspect displayed a note demanding money at the Metro Bank on East Main Street, but she did not display a weapon, police said. She left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspect is described as a white female, 5 feet 4 inches, with strawberry blonde hair, and wearing a hat and glasses, police said.
A woman with a similar description also is suspected of robbing the Frederick County National Bank in Wakersville, Md., on Aug. 14, the M&T Bank in Frackville on Aug. 27, the PNC Bank in Union Mills, Md., on Aug. 28, and the M&T Bank in Wrightsville on Sept. 9, police said.
Palmyra police said they are investigating a connection among the robberies.

Troopers: Two people push each other
Howard Knerr, of Pitman, and Lourdes Adams, of Far Rockaway, N.Y., allegedly got into a verbal argument and pushed each other in the Lowes parking lot area in East Norwegian Township on Oct. 3, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.

Pumpkin punks damage property
Goons threw pumpkins that damaged a vehicle and a store in Hegins Township on Oct. 3 or Oct. 4, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The vehicle, which belongs to Kevin Fetterolf, was on West Maple Street, state police said.
The goons damaged two large front store windows on Family Dollar on Forrest Drive, state police said.

Losers grab three ramp loaders
Goons swiped three metal roller track ramp loaders from inside a semi trailer belonging to United States Express in the parking area of All America Plaza on Camp Swatara Road near Fort Motel Drive in Bethel Township, Berks County, between Sept. 25 and Sept. 28, township police said.
The goons entered the semi trailer by breaking open the padlocked doors, police said.
United States Express is in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Three vehicles strike deer
Three vehicles struck deer in three separate accidents in Cornwall and West Cornwall Township recently, Cornwall police said.
A vehicle driven by Amanda Kercher, 21, of Myerstown, struck a deer that ran onto the road on Route 322 near Boyd Street in Cornwall, police said.
A vehicle struck a deer on Route 72 near Route 322 in Cornwall, and kept going, police said.
A vehicle driven by Tuan Schumann, 40, of Lebanon, struck a deer than ran into the road on Route 72 near Alden Lane in West Cornwall Township, police said.

Creeps swipe items from construction site
Losers swiped 11 mount plates and three concrete forms from a construction site on the grounds of Met-Ed on Four Point Road near Merkey Drive in Bethel Township, Berks County, between Sept. 24 and Sept. 26, township police said.
The victim is Steve Henne Masonry, of Bernville.
The 14 pieces of steel are valued at about $760.

Vehicle strikes vehicle on road
A vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Mayer II, 16, of Annville, on North Railroad Street in Palmyra on Sept. 30, and kept going, traveling north, borough police said.
The accident occurred when Mayer was parking his vehicle, police said.
The suspect vehicle is described as a silver Pontiac Grand Prix, police said.

Troopers: Man had marijuana plant
A man allegedly was found in possession of a large, recently cultivated marijuana plant while a state constable was attempting to serve a mortgage foreclosure notice at a home on Stag Drive at Lake Wynonah in South Manheim Township on Oct. 1, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The plant allegedly was in plain view, lying on the kitchen floor, state police said.
The suspect is Ryan Townsend, 24.
