TROOPERS: MAN PUNCHES WOMAN IN HEAD, FACE

A man allegedly repeatedly punched a woman in the head and face at a location on Main Street in Seltzer on Sept. 23, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The victim, Morgan Natale, 24, suffered several bruises, scratches, and a laceration of about 1 inch on her right ankle, state police said. She was transported by Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS to Schuylkill Medical Center South Jackson.
The suspect, Thomas Kelly, 24, of Pottsville, was charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Schuylkill County prison, with bail set at $25,000.

Woman extricated from vehicle after accident
A woman was extricated from her vehicle and flown to the hospital after an accident in Upper Tulpehocken Township on Sept. 23, state police at Hamburg said.
A vehicle driven by Loretta Coberly, 30, of New Bloomfield, traveled up an embankment, flipped at least twice, struck the center median, returned upright, and struck a vehicle driven by Ecker Young Jr., 50, of Grenanda, Miss., on I-78, state police said.
Coberly was extricated from her vehicle by Strausstown E-50 Rescue and Keystone Fire Co., of Rehrersburg, state police said. She was injured, and she was flown via helicopter to Reading Hospital.
I-78 was closed for about one hour.
Bethel EMS and Schuylkill Valley EMS assisted.

Goons swipe three handmade rocking chairs
Goons swiped three handmade rocking chairs from Hitz Farm Market on Lebanon Road in Rapho Township on Sept. 19, state police at Ephrata said.

Man falls off motorcycle in accident
A man fell off a motorcycle in an accident in Bethel Township, Berks County, on Sept. 20, state police at Hamburg said.
A motorcycle driven by Daniel Kaiser, 20, of Lebanon, went out of control on a curve and skidded on Frystown Road, and Kaiser fell from the motorcycle, state police said.
Kaiser suffered a major injury, and he was transported via Bethel Ambulance to Hershey Medical Center.
State police Kaiser was wearing a helmet.

Vehicle strikes large tree
A vehicle driven by Michael Holland, 41, of Harrisburg, struck a large tree at routes 443 and 72 in Union Township, Lebanon County, on Sept. 23, state police at Jonestown said.

POLICE: 2 HURT TRYING TO HELP ACCIDENT VICTIMS

Two people were injured after they stopped to help a pregnant woman and a man who had been in an accident in Tremont Township on Sept. 21, state police at Jonestown said.
In the first accident, a vehicle driven by Yoseph Silver, 22, of Baltimore, Md., struck a guardrail twice on I-81, state police said.
Silver and Deborah Silver, 22, who was a passenger, suffered minor injuries. Devorah Silver is pregnant.
After this accident, a vehicle driven by Arlene Moll, 49, of Newmanstown, stopped to help the Silvers. While helping the Silvers, Kyle Moll, 25, of Newmanstown, was outside her vehicle.
A vehicle driven by Joseph Lukus, 25, of Clarks Summit, went around a curve, and Lukus became distracted by people attempting to warn traffic of the Silvers’ vehicle, which was in a lane on I-81, state police said.
State police said Lukus was unable to see the Silvers’ vehicle until he was upon it, and he attempted to avoid it, but he could not.
Lukus’ vehicle struck the Silvers’ vehicle, spun, struck Kyle Moll, struck Moll’s vehicle and the guardrail, and came to rest against the guardrail, state police said.
The Silvers were in Moll’s vehicle when it was struck, state police said.
Kyle Moll and two passengers in Moll’s vehicle were flown by LifeFlight to Hershey Medical Center and Lehigh Valley Hospital. Kyle Moll and Arlene Moll suffered severe injuries. Devorah Silver suffered minor to moderate injuries. Lukus and Yosef Silver suffered minor injuries, and they were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
I-81 southbound was closed for three hours.

Troopers: Woman takes bank card
A woman allegedly stole a bank card, a driver’s license and other personal cards from a purse at a location on Tuscarora Street in Palo Alto on Sept. 19, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
Schuylkill County Adult Probation officers allegedly found the cards at the home of Bridget Steffie, 30, on South Second Street in Pottsville, state police said.
Steffie was placed in Schuylkill County prison on a probation violation.
The victims are Pam Kolva, 25, and Shane Cillo, 31.

Vehicles collide in Palmyra
Vehicles driven by Marissa Heckermann, 47, of Palmyra, and Sharon Medford, 45, of Palmyra, were in an accident on East Spruce Street at Macintosh Drive in Palmyra on Sept. 22, borough police said.

Man charged for incident
Troy Wile Jr., 25, of Cornwall, was charged with DUI for an incident on Route 419 at Alden Place in Cornwall recently, borough police said.
Wile’s blood alcohol content was 0.148 percent, police said.

Two suspects steal items from vehicle
Two suspects swiped two iPods, a Blackberry charger and a Bluetooth headset from a vehicle parked at a home on Riders Way in West Cornwall Township recently, Cornwall police said.
The victim is Kayla Rittle. The value of the stolen items is $790.
A resident reported seeing two people attempting to enter vehicles, and they were last seen running toward Route 419, police said.

Police: Boy, girl go on spray painting spree
A boy and a girl allegedly went on a spray painting spree in North Cornwall Township on Sept. 19, township police said.
A 16-year-old boy, of Cleona, and a 14-year-old girl, of Lebanon, allegedly spray painted speed limit signs, traffic control signs, other signs owned by North Cornwall Township, vehicles, mailboxes and their posts, light fixtures, and the Oak Hills sign and the rock beside it at Walnut and South 21st streets, police said. Total damage is $1,500.
The boy and girl are charged with criminal mischief.

Police: Man threatens to kill wife, her mother
A man allegedly threatened to kill his 31-year-old wife and her mother during an argument at a home on Racehorse Drive in Union Township, Lebanon County, on Sept. 20, state police at Jonestown said.
The suspect, Andrew Saylor, was arrested.

Three vehicles involved in accident
Vehicles driven by Randall Eckert, of Myerstown, Karen Ferguson, of Annville, and Peter Harris, of Lebanon, were in an accident on Main Street (Route 897) at Chestnut Street in Heidelberg Township, Lebanon County, on Sept. 21, township police said.
Schaefferstown Fire Police assisted.

Troopers: Man steals wallet from purse
A man allegedly stole a wallet from a purse while the victim was eating at Cracker Barrel on Industrial Drive in Tilden Township on Sept. 4, state police at Hamburg said.
Before the victim could cancel her credit card, the man allegedly purchased $1,000 worth of gift cards at the Wal-Mart in St. Clair, and then used the gift cards to make another purchase, state police said. He allegedly tried to make three other purchases, but was unsuccessful, state police said.
State police said the man was caught on surveillance at Wal-Mart.
The suspect is described as a thin black man, in his 20s, with short black hair, and wearing a dark shirt and dark pants, state police said.
The victim is a 64-year-old woman, of Crestview, Fla.

Troopers: Woman harasses man
Lisa Marko, 42, allegedly harassed Robert Marko, 41, at a location on Route 72 in Swatara Township on Sept. 21, state police at Jonestown said.

Man charged after traffic stop
Dallas Riehl, 19, of Jonestown, was charged with DUI and underage drinking after a traffic stop at Racehorse Drive and Jonestown Road in East Hanover Township on Sept. 20, state police at Jonestown said.

Troopers: Woman uses bad checks three times
A woman allegedly used bad checks on three separate occasions to pay for items worth more than $700 at Kreiser’s Fuel Service on Route 22 in Union Township, Lebanon County, on March 22 or March 23, state police at Jonestown said.
The suspect, Tina Humphrey, 21, of Pine Grove, was charged with bad checks and theft. She was arraigned and placed in Lebanon County prison, with bail set at $10,000.
Pine Grove police assisted.

Police: Man trespassed at a home
A man allegedly was found inside a home at Highland Glen in North Cornwall Township on Sept. 19, after he was told that he was not permitted on the property, township police said.
The suspect, Clifford Aponte, 21, of Lebanon, was charged with criminal trespass.

POLICE: WOMAN FOUND DEAD

A woman in her mid 50s was found dead from multiple stab wounds at a home in North Lebanon Township on Sept. 21, township police said.
A man in his mid 30s also was found with stab wounds at the home on Lake Drive, police said. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office and North Lebanon police are investigating the death.

Pinheads puncture tires on four vehicles
Goons used an unknown instrument to puncture tires on four vehicles at Klick-Lewis Professional Detailing Service on East Main Street in Palmyra on Sept. 21, borough police said.
The victim is Todd Young, 38. The total value of the damaged tires is $700.

Police: Woman’s dogs ran loose
A woman’s dogs allegedly were found running loose multiple times on East Maple Street in Annville between Sept. 1 and Sept. 6, township police said.
Lauren Lezon, 24, was cited with dog law violations.

Five students cited with noise violation
Five Lebanon Valley College students were cited with violating a noise ordinance at their off-campus home on North Railroad Street in Annville on Sept. 13, township police said.
The people cited are Charles Parker, Jeff Ochoa, Chris Lynch, Joseph Brennan, and David Ochoa.

Slugs shoot steel ball that smashes window
Goons shot a steel ball, apparently from a slingshot, that smashed a window on the side of a home on Riders Way in West Cornwall Township on Sept. 15, Cornwall police said.
The victim is Rickie Ebling. Damage is estimated at $200.

Troopers: Man punched man in head
A man allegedly punched another man in the head during a disturbance in the parking lot of PA’s Place on Jonestown Road in Union Township, Lebanon County, on Sept. 20, state police at Jonestown said.
The suspect is Jeremy Lutz, of Jonestown.
The victim is a 30-year-old man, of Jonestown, state police said.

Man trapped in vehicle after accident
A man was trapped in a vehicle after an accident in Jefferson Township on Sept. 20, state police at Reading said.
A vehicle driven by Zachary Strunk, 20, of Bernville, went out of control on a curve, became airborne, struck a tree down an embankment, and landed on its passenger side on Summer Mountain Road near Summer Hill Road, state police said.
Matthew Fessler, 20, of Womelsdorf, who was a passenger, was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by mechanical means, state police said. Fessler suffered serious injuries, and he was transported by PennSTAR Lifeflight to Reading Hospital.
Strunk suffered moderate injuries, and he was transported by Western Berks EMS to Reading Hospital.
Bernville, Mt. Pleasant and Rehrersburg fire companies assisted with traffic control.

Goons use blunt object to strike mailbox
Goons used a blunt object to strike a mailbox on Christman Road in Greenwich Township on Sept. 20, state police at Hamburg said.
The goons were traveling in a light-colored, possibly white, mid-size car, state police said.
The victim is Richard Weaknecht, 47. Damage is $70.

Vehicle travels across center grass median
A vehicle driven by Wesley Smith, 39, of Annville, traveled across the center grass median, and struck the elevated road and a guardrail on I-81 in East Hanover Township on Sept. 18, after Smith was distracted by his cellphone, state police at Jonestown said.
Smith suffered a minor injury.

Troopers: Woman enters home without permission
A woman allegedly entered another woman’s home without permission, and made threats to her and her property on Camp Swatara Road in Bethel Township, Berks County, on Sept. 20, state police at Hamburg said.
The suspect is Lois Raifsnyder, 33, of Womelsdorf.
The victim is Wendy Perry, 32, state police said.

Troopers: 2 try to steal metal
Two suspects allegedly attempted to steal metal from Bethel Truck Services in Bethel Township, Berks County, on Sept. 18, state police at Hamburg said.
The owner of the business arrived at the scene on Old 22 after a burglar alarm activated, and noticed a black Jeep Cherokee on the property that he did not recognize, state police said. Metal previously had been stolen from the business, and the owner contacted police.
Troopers check the area but did not find anyone. However, two suspects were developed through an investigation, state police said.
The vehicle was towed.

JERKS SWIPE JEWELRY FROM HOME

Goons swiped change and several pieces of jewelry, including a jewelry box, from a home on Deep Creek Road in Barry Township on Sept. 15, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The goons entered the home by pushing in a screen on a sliding screen door and unlocking the door, state police said.
The victim is Anna Neumeister.

Police: Driver passes out; vehicle hits 2 vehicles
A vehicle was involved in an accident with three other vehicles after the driver passed out in Branch Township on Sept. 17, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
Raymond Houtz, 59, of Pottsville, passed out while driving on Pottsville/Minersville Highway, and his vehicle traveled across a raised median, and struck a mailbox owned by McNulty’s and a parked vehicle, state police said.
After impact, Houtz’s vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Joseph Burns, 72, of Pottsville, that was backing out of a parking stall and another parked vehicle, state police said.
Houtz, Burns and Ann Burns, 70, who was a passenger in Burns’ vehicle, suffered minor injuries.
Minersville Ambulance, West Schuylkill ALS, Llewellyn Squad 3-60, Pottsville/Schuylkill Haven EMS, and Good Intent Hose Co. assisted.

Accident injures bicyclist
A bicyclist was injured in an accident in Palmyra on Sept. 18, borough police said.
A vehicle driven by Karen Weigle, 32, of Palmyra, and a bicycle driven by T.J. Orsinger, 18, of Palmyra, were in an accident on West Oak Street at South Mark Street, police said.
Orsinger was injured, and he was transported to Hershey Medical Center.

Police: Weeds on property were too tall
A man allegedly violated a borough ordinance by having grass and weeds taller than 12 inches on his property on North Lincoln Street in Palmyra on Sept. 17, borough police said.
The suspect, Patrick Farrell, 42, was cited with weeds unlawful and a nuisance.

Troopers: Woman walked away from ADDAPT
Monica Baker, 33, of Reading, allegedly did not return to the ADDAPT Center on Walnut Street in Reading on Sept. 17, after she left for work release, state police at Reading said.

Losers swipe change, CDs from vehicle
Losers swiped about $10 in loose change and about five CDs worth about $50 from an unlocked vehicle on West Savory Street in Palo Alto on Sept. 17 or Sept. 18, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The victim is Lynn Strausser, 33.

Losers swipe four-wheeler
Losers swiped a four-wheeler that was parked behind an aluminum shed on Seltzer Road in Norwegian Township between Sept. 6 and Sept. 18, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The stolen vehicle is described as a blue 2005 Yamaha Raptor, 350cc with an FMF exhaust, with a black bush guard on the front and chrome headlights in front by the handle bars. It is number YEM350RTL.
The victim is William Holley, 30.

Slugs slash tire on vehicle
Goons slashed a tire on the rear driver’s side of a vehicle on Howard Street in Palo Alto between Sept. 12 and Sept. 18, state police at Schuylkill Haven said.
The victim is Christopher Tippett, 29. The tire was worth about $70.
